So my friend Erica (can text in her sleep!) sends me this goog-chat message at like 12:23 in the morning. It's a cartoon video with a hidden message. We are the generation that was the first to have cell phones become a standard accessory in our lives, but have you noticed how our communication methods have become increasingly more digital over the years. Text messaging was not really that poppin back in high school until junior, senior year. By that time the whole country had caught on and it was "the" feature to use for communicating with friends.
Now you know this trend is old when parents and old folk are using text message slang, or even texting you! In the past 2 years text messaging has become a widely accepted form of communication, often times used instead of verbal communication. People are drifting away from the traditional phone conversation, I assume to avoid awkward moments or just save time. Personally I think this is kind of weird because you cannot express emotion through a text, it's easy for messages to be misunderstood and that's not a good look. But for all you text-message pimps out there, do what you do! The video is comedy, the message behind it is dead real though too!
