The Adventures Of Johnny Bunko!

"The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You'll Ever Need." Although the title hints at the content of this book, there is more than meets the eye. Here at EF we always promote avoiding the "paved road" and instead making your own trail in life. Well...this illustrated comic shows what happens when the corporate world grabs you by the neck. The book is inspired by the Japanese form of manga. The authoer Daniel H. Pink has put together a story targeting young adults and post-graduate adults by creating this Johnny Bunko character in a fashion often left for children. See if you can relate to ole Johnny boy. If you like that 9-5 desk pest job...don't read this! You may start to realize that life is precious, and wasting away in an office is not agreeable.

"Far from childish fluff, Johnny Bunko is a fully-formed a career advice manual played out through an illustrated narrative. Bunko himself is a nine-to-five everyman who falls into an existential crisis when he realizes his post-collegiate office job is entirely unfulfilling. He meets an unconventional career advisor, wields magical chopsticks and eventually succeeds in finding some meaning in his existence." Interspersed throughout are useful—and rather zen-like—career tips, such as "There is no Plan," and "Make Excellent Mistakes."
