"In a move that could help improve Senator Obama's standing among working-class white voters, Mr Edwards gave a full-throated endorsement to Senator Obama, who was still smarting over a thumping loss to Hillary Clinton in the blue-collar state of West Virginia the night before. The announcement punctured Senator Clinton's short-lived boost after her landslide win, although the former first lady was still vowing to fight on to the last contest, on June 3.
