Deathbowl to Downtown, is produced by NCP Film. This documentary covers the history of skateboarding in New York City. This is expected to be an excellent film, the documentary not only explores the culture of street skating, but also provides an overview of skating's shift from the 70's to modern day. Also addressed are broader issues such as how urban planning changes the environment for skaters and how skateboarders went from being ignored to being loved. The documentary includes rare footage and interviews ranging from old school skaters to current innovators, Deathbowl to Downtown is definitely a film worth looking into. Check out the clip below, the mellow music and old-school skate footage make for a rather relaxing/entertaining experience.
