A Nike event took place this morning at the NY Rockefeller Center Ice Rink as USA Basketball unveiled its 2008 Men’s National Team for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Beijing. Nike sponsored sponsored the event, hosted by TV personality Kevin Frazier with music by DJ Clark Kent. With Nike as a sponsor you know the event was dope, there were entertainment features from b-boys to an Olympic team quiz. The event also introduced the new uniforms for both Men’s and Women’s teams, crafted from the new Nike Swift System of Dress, in which there is a 31% weight reduction compared to previous uniforms. Some team members will also be wearing the new Nike Hyperdunk in USA colorways. The footwear will be made available to the general consumers on July 26th.
