Vans works together on a project with Taka Hayashi.
A self taught painter / illustrator / graphic designer, Taka was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1971. He moved to the U.S. in 1981 and relocated himself in Santa Monica where the early 80’s Skateboarding scene had a huge impact on his life & art. 
Here, he designed three sneakers, a No Skool 2 Mid Vulc, an Owens Hi Vulc, and a Rowley ‘Shambles’ Mid. There will also be matching tees. These are set to release this fall 08.
This model is a great skate shoe, amazing comfort and traction.
