Jay-Z Huffs Timbaland On Upcoming Album Production

Old Hov semi-huffs Timbo on the production of his new album...teleport for more:

Old Hov shot down Timbaland's claim that he will be running the production on Hov's next album:

“You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature,” Jay said. “I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.”

Google Extends Venture Capital Arm

A number of technology giants like Intel and Motorola have set up their own venture capital arms to invest in new technologies and fund promising startups. Now Mountain View-based Google, which has already invested considerable sums in fields as diverse as solar energy to space exploration, may soon join this list, latest reports indicate. David Drummond, the internet search leader's senior vice president of corporate development and chief legal officer, would lead the investment business, the Wall Street Journal said yesterday. It also reported the hiring of former Web hosting entrepreneur William Maris to help set up the venture. Teleport for full story

A Google spokesman confirmed that Maris has been hired but declined to comment further.

According to a 2005 posting on Global Envision, a humanitarian aid site, Maris worked as a partner with Anne Wojcicki in a health investment fund called Catalytic Health. Last year Wojcicki married Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

Maris created his own Web hosting company called Burlee.com, which is now part of Atlanta-based Web.com. He also made investments in technology companies for Sweden's wealthy Wallenberg family, according to the Global Envision site. A separate investment arm is not a new idea for Google, but earlier plans fell through before anything concrete materialised. The venture is still in its formative stages and can still fall through, especially considering the recent tough times for overall venture capital investing.

A report from Dow Jones VentureSource earlier this month stated that VC investments dropped 12 per cent in the second quarter compared with the same period a year ago, with $6.64 billion put into 602 deals - the lowest quarterly deal count in three years.

More venture firms found themselves funneling money to support later-stage companies at the expense of companies seeking first-time funding. The amount of money sunk into start-ups seeking first-round funds dropped by 12 per cent to $1.6 billion in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, later-stage deals grew by 14 per cent to $3.1 billion because those companies in particular had fewer opportunities to go public. No venture-backed company went public in the second quarter.

Alan Jaras: Screen Savers Of The Cosmos

Alan Jaras is a British artist that has created these trippy photographs using light as the subject. He takes the light's bended patterns, which come through a transparent object and captures the images on 35mm film without a lens, and gets the light to pass through colored filters. This is what creates the trippy light effects that resemble cosmic radiation waves. more after the teleport:

Feast Review 7: Tito's Tacos

So upon our arrival to LA our cousins told us that Titos Tacos is a must for Feast Review. So after a few burger reviews we decided to take a break and hit up some tacos. Honestly had no idea what to expect...I've never ordered tacos in a restaurant(always order fajitas) so my knowledge of delicious tacos extended as far as home cooked and Taco Bell. Sad but true, so when I heard there was an authentic Taco Stand and it was a LA must see, we were off! Teleport for the feast review:

Lil cuz Lexi was in charge of this feast review, so I threw here a wad of cash and said order what you think will be delicious. Broham and I went and found some nice outdoor seating and waited for her to come back with the food. When we saw her walking with two box packages we didn't know what to think, until we opened them...
Now this is what I call a feast! 15 tacos, 5 per person contest...fixings, and a chicken enchilada under all those tortilla chips! We split the tacos, and started applying the fixings.
So at first we only say the salsa and guacamole, I wondered where the sour cream was but Lexi let us know they don't provide that condiment...disappointment.
Feast bite, and devoured that damn taco.
Once we ate a handful of tortillas we realized there were beans, rice, and spicy picante sauce underneath...nice surprise to make up for the lack of sour cream.I don't know how the bloodclot he did it, but broham punished 5 tacos straight up!
Finishing the 4th was a little tough, but delicious.
On to the 5th...nope sry charlz gotta know your feast limit. I stopped at 4, so did Lexi, broham you win this one. Titos tacos was an interesting experience...when you bite into the taco there is no rush of flavor or anything. It's just average I'd say. The meat was poorly seasoned, there weren't any tomatoes or sour cream, and the guacamole was entirely too runny. I prefer the hand made guacamole to the blended kind. Honestly the only reason I continued eating these tacos was because we were in competition, don't get me wrong they were average/good just not overwhelmingly delicious, as I expect all feast review food to be. Each taco became soupy because the meat was so greasy, and not one taco kept form. Titos didn't even have chicken burritos or anything, I thought that was odd, but I'm sure they pass it as "authentic". I even felt a bit sick after the 4 tacos, sitting there blown, thinking to myself, "what have I done". I rate Titos Tacos 4/5 on the feast meter but 2.9/5 on the delicious meter. Go here if you're smacked or just passing by.

check their website...sooo annoying Titos Tacos

Summer Internships/Jobs You Know The Deal

Many of us earthlings have to seek out office jobs to earn dollars which enable us to sustain our lifestyle. For most of us, that means finding some wack 9-5 that pays the bills and leaves a little cash for other sh*t. Well, to all those people at work right now...pop artist Andy Smith KNOWS THE DEAL. When you have a boring ass job, you spend more time pretending to do work than actually copying and printing. If you could, you'd probably have this nice art print hanging in your office cubicle, but don't risk getting fired...stack that bread, recession is on full blast! Teleport for more:

Definitely a must have for whatever lounge area you have at the crib. The rich blue-aqua colors are calming, as is the message. Ever just sit back and marvel at how dope our natural environment is?

Exclusive Look At Notorious BIG Movie

Shout out to all my Fulton st. and Nostrand Ave. ni**as in Brooklyn...Rastio and his whole squad, na'mean!...sike nah for real though the Notorious BIG movie is going to be crack! Whenever you do a movie about a famous artist who has passed away, often times the movie flops because the actors don't mesh with the swagger of the artist they are portraying. Other times movies like "Ray" starring Jamie Foxx are huge hits because you literally feel like you are watching that artist...that's how good the acting is, that's how perfect the actor is for the particular role. Here is some exclusive footage from the casting call of the Notirous BIG movie. I have to admit...the resemblance is alright, you'll see my top pick. Teleport to watch the footage:

Personally I'm not sure why they didn't get Guerilla Black to play the part!?!? This dude sounds and wraps exactly like BIG, his delivery is similar and he has that hardcore look. The dude they chose is aaight, but damn Guerilla Black would have been PERFECT, peep the video, the resemblance is uncanny!

Major Music: Jeezy "I Put On" remix ft. Jay-Z

Young Jeezy's official remix features Jay-z and they both O.D. on this track. Hov is just speaking the truth on this G-mix, he put on many artists in the game right now, and influenced hip hop like no other. I personally think this remix is better than the original, Jeezy's verse on this was better than the original and Old Hov is just Old Hov no comparisons…Listen and Leave Your Thoughts

NYPD Should Be Suspended Indefinitely...F*cking PIGS

During a Critical Mass bicycle ride through Times Square, a rookie officer decides to shoulder tackle a random bike rider. The bicyclist is injured and arrested, while a tourist films the whole thing. Amazingly clear footage of unprovoked police violence.

Once again F*ck the police...this is why cops can't be trusted, especially snake cops likes the NYPD. The problems of Police harassment and assault now span past racial barriers. Thinks about it, the only reason people become cops is because they were losers, or made fun of in high school...so they think that by wearing a badge they now have the power and respect they never had...wrong! If I saw some sh*t like this go down, that cop would get dropped. Full Story

Ka...Me...Ha...Me....HA! Fitted Hawaii New Era

Fitted Hawaii just dropped their newest New Era fitteds. The Kamehameha 59Fifties feature their most recognizable logo embroidered on the front. They come in four colors and are now availalbe at Fitted Hawaii. I'd cop one just because of the Kamehameha blast Goku is known for...although Fitted Hawaii is really referencing King Kamehameha. Peep their site for more info.
