Staying true to its roots the P-Rod 3 is a skate shoe. It is meant to be skated. Paul Rodriguez was recently wearing his new shoe during a skate session. We present the new images that surfaced of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 scheduled to release as a retro this coming April. Officially the first Griffey model baring his name, the kicks were one of Nike’s more popular sneakers in our golden days...the 90’s. In a classic Mariner’s colorway, the cross trainers will be available at Nike urban accounts beginning April 2009 with a retail price of $140 USD. Some people expected this collaboration to happen last year, but these Kiks Tyo joints are just releasing and already selling out! Marvel Comics lent the brand some of their signature super-heroes for the collabo. The shirts are very creative, the Marvel heroes have been transformed into the fresh kicks they would wear or represent. Overall a really dope concept.
At one of his recent concerts Wayne was caught rockin an early release of the TK society's. It seems that Supra is trying to build some hype around TK's first signature shoe. He definitely got the kicks for free but if wonder if Supra is going to have Wayne become an official spokesman for the brand?

The Jordan look alike Supra “Grape” Cruizers are to release online at Factory 413. If they are official, your local skate shop should have these sneakers available in the next few weeks. I don't know how I feel about these though, I see them looking better on chics than dudes. There is something missing...teleport for the rest of the 2009 line up
Well played Kanye, well executed move. Now you'll get to take down sneaker chicks all over the world. Of course a womens sneaker is also part of the six shoe Kanye West for Louis Vuitton collaboration. You're getting the first look at the womens sneaker. It comes in a grey suede colorway, with pink sole and gold lace lock. The Louis Vuitton logo appears on the tongue and on the side-panel of the shoes. Get your gear up ladies.

Kanye West with his Inaugural mullet and all has just released his Louis Vuitton Don kicks. Yep, Ye has his very own sneaker collection with Louis Vuitton and there are pretty dope. So that's a Nike deal and a LV deal all in 2009. Mr. West is making serious blodclot moves! The shoe is all leather of course, with nice padded accents at the ankle, they alos come in a tan color in addition to the red. I wonder which celebs jump on these joints. They'll probably cost a grip but teleport to check out his kicks up close
TK and Supra are going to be releasing their new signature model real soon. As you see they are kinda of Marty McFly-ish. Not sure if i'd cop these, when you skate in them, it my feel similar to snowboarding with how high the boot cut is. He is wearing the pair in the picture above, not sure if I can fade the purple, but the full picture after the teleport isn't too bad.
Props to the MASH boys for getting the drop on these. Back with more classic kicks, Taka Hayashi has once again joined forces with Vans Vault. For the collaboration, the Japanese-born artist completed several new art pieces in his signature style as well as designed three new footwear styles. The pack consists of the high-top No Quarter LX in two colorways, the Velocita LX also in two colorways, and the Akat LX in three colorways. Taka’s artwork and designs for this project were influenced by traditionally crafted Native American goods, vintage military surplus and 1960’s Italian-made footwear. I've compiled the kicks I would cop immediately after the teleport. The pack is expected to release this summer.
We give you a look at the Maharishi Spring 2009 Desert Zip Boot. It comes in an off-white leather/canvas/hemp upper, features minimal branding and a zipper going over the side. Hope you're catching on to the new trend, minimal branding. These will go for 170 fiat notes and will be released in the near future at Maharishi retailers. Via Soleblvd.
With a full Nike retrospective on Penny Hardaway’s former signature sneakers over the past few months, Nike will complete the collection with a new hybrid called the 1/2 Cent scheduled for March 2009. This shoe is a fusion of all the signature Nike sneakers that Penny Hardaway wore throughout his career, taking inspiration from the Foamposite 1’s and the Air Max Penny II’s through Air Max Penny IV’s. This shoe will commemorate Penny’s All-Star career and celebrate his time with Nike. The official royal and black colorway is scheduled for a March 2009 release date and a black colorway is also in the works. Clear gum sole makes the cipher complete.
New Balance has release a successor to their classic 992 model which nearly every DC head owns. The new and improved model is the M993, and features the new Abzorb DTS technology. The upper was made using a combination of mesh and suede, and is available in two colorways. They just arrived at Beams. Expect to see these in the streets real soon, New Balance 992's were an everyday type of walkabout shoe. So expect the same for the 993.
HUFF HUFF HUFF...Levis, what were you thinking? Why jeopardize a thorough brand to meet a rising sneaker trend? As if no one would find out about these huff rip offs of the Supra Skytop, Vans Authentic, and Converse Chuck Taylor? Hard to believe, Levis has taken these sneakers and put a Levis logo on cheap materials. Levis - you wild out completely by wasting money and manufacturing these huff knock off kicks. Anyone who wears these joints is a seasoned lame gamer. Below is a picture of the official Supra Croc Skytops. You can clearly see the difference.
