Ausio company Alesis has created the Multiport, a recording interface that gives you more flexibility and professional quality when it comes to iPod recording. The Multiport lets you monitor your levels and use multiple inputs for professional, phantom-powered mics. It's also a bit easier to record onto a computer with the handy USB and 1/4 inch stereo outputs. You can even play tracks from your iPod while you’re recording on to it. Their Melbourne store "The Bombed Maché" designed alongside Herbert & Mason Architects, has won Australia's foremost interior design award. Word on the street is the the second generation iPhone is being tested in the pockets of a chosen few. Although it will have the same shape, it is slightly thicker than the first model. Another difference at first glance is that the entire phone is black and doesn’t feature the signature metal backing of the first iPhone as well as their ipod collection. From a technical standpoint, the new iPhone will feature 3G wireless broadband and a functional GPS. Look for this to drop or be introduced in July.

ONLY NY has recently come out with their spring collection. They also updated their site with their spring lookbook but this shirt stood out the most. Why you might ask, simple, not very often do you see a NY brand make a shirt that is DC compatible. Now the people at Only NY may not have done this on purpose (given the name) but the "Always down Uptown" is definitely compatible with Uptown DC. The black/red/white colorway below would be perfect with the black/red/white Caviar Cartel DC's!
General releases are often a hit or miss when it comes to sneakerheads. Recently released to all major athletic stores and e-tailers like Eastbay, the Nike Anthracite pack is one of the few exceptions. The simple color scheme alongside highly detailed accents is eye-catching in a modern yet old school way. The highlight of the Anthracite pack is the Blazer Hi's. Barack Obama is not backing down in his opposition to a so-called gas tax holiday this summer. If anything, he's becoming more vocal in calling it a bad idea and slamming John McCain and Hillary Clinton for proposing it. He told voters in Winston-Salem, N.C., this afternoon that suspending the 18.4-cent-a-gallon federal gas tax between Memorial Day and Labor Day would save them only about $25 to $30.
Some economists, he said, believe the proposal could backfire and actually raise prices by increasing demand. "We don't know that the oil companies will actually pass on the savings," he added.
And by taking revenue away from the Highway Trust Fund, which finances road and bridge repairs, the gas tax holiday could delay badly needed improvements and cost thousands of construction jobs, including 7,000 in North Carolina, he told voters.

So now what, every new shoe we see is gonna look like some space kicks? It is the growing trend among shoe designers to be extra creative with materials and overall design, but I just don't know how I feel about this shoe. Here we have the spring/summer '08 sneaker collection from Bernhard Willhelm. As you can see there are leather and suede accents as well as those huge velcro straps. Maybe it's the negative white space or American colors that's throwing me off. Sorry Bernhard but you should have used different colors, I mean, who's gonna walk around looking like the Old Dipset?
