Fashion Sense: Pantone Colors

Trees and flowers are blooming. The weather is (almost) always beautiful. As it gets closer to May, I think it’s safe to say that spring has definitely sprung. As retailers continue to show spring and summer apparel and accessories, there is a common trend throughout: color. The following are the top ten Pantone colors chosen by New York designers for this spring. Granted, it’s slightly late, but always interesting.

Beginning with number ten: Golden Olive.

Number nine: Pink Mist
Spring just isn’t the same without a pretty pink.

Number eight: Cantaloupe
This almost-orange substitute compliments most skin colors.

Number seven: Spring Crocus

Number six: Silver Grey
The perfect spring neutral, used as a matte or sheen, opaque or transparent.

Number five: Rococco Red

Number four: Croissant

Number three: Daiquiri Green
According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone, “green represents eco-awareness.”

Number two: Freesia

and finally, number one: Snorkel Blue
