Theater Of The Mind, Ludacris' Major Music Review

The highest-selling Southern hip hop solo artist is back with his sixth album, I swear it don’t even feel like Luda been in the game that long. His latest LP “Theater of the mind” dropped yesterday along with his label mate Kanye West. I don’t know why Def Jam is doing that but its being done, maybe it’s because there albums are completely different. Theater of the Mind sounds more like a classic mixtape than an album because of all the features or “co-stars” as Ludacris likes to put it. The buzz surrounding Theater of the Mind faded a bit because his singles off the album are so radio friendly (actually too radio friendly), but if you skip pass his current singles “what them girls like” and “One more Drink” every song on this album is crack. Yea I didn't stutter, crack...teleport for the full review

Last Of A Dying Breed f. Lil Wayne

Lyrically speaking Ludacris went in on this album especially the track with him and Weezy called “Last of a dying breed”, his 1st verse is untouchable and Lil Wayne came off too. Ludacris even goes hard on his “intro” on his album. The Game is also co-starring on the track “call up the homies”, it’s a crack concept song which Ludacris is showing his versatility as a complete MC and not just a bunch of punch lines. “Southern Gangsta” co-stars Rick Ross and that song has Ving Rhames talking over the hook and Luda and Ricky Ross go in on this Maybach music inspired track. Don’t sleep on Ludacris because he even held his own with Hip Hop Heavy Hitters Billionaire Hov and Nas on the track “I do it for Hip Hop”.Ludacris recruited some of the best producers in the game right now like Swizz Beatz, StreetRunner, Don Cannon, Scott Storch and a few up in coming producers. The beats on this album are ridiculous and all the tracks on the album fall into place like a movie. This hands down has to be on Ludacris top 3 best albums if not #1. I know that’s a bold statement but this album is that Crack. Add it to your playlist.
