After more than 60 years in the business, Polaroid have announced they will be closing down permanently. The company has stopped making their signature instant camera's last year, and having manufactured enough to last them through to 2009, they have announced they will no longer continue within the market place at this point.
I guess this was inevitable given the technological growth of digital photography and further advances, making somewhat obsolete. So of course, when a company as large as Polaroid closes down, their items are instantly exclusive. 20 years from now, and old Polaroid camera may be worth something!
