Hello friends, it’s been a while but I’m back to report, full force ahead on everything women’s fashion and beauty related. This post is about my newest obsession, so- enjoy!
For anyone who hasn’t walked by a M.A.C. store lately –go immediately! The newest collaborative collection has arrived, and by the looks of it will sell out in a flash. This time around, Fafi, a Parisian graffiti artist-turned-graphic designer who is best known for Fafinettes (the pinup-looking girls shown) has created a vibrant color palate for the company. Lipsticks, lustreglass, lipglass, paint pots (AMAZING for all sorts of avant-garde looks), pressed powders with incandescent shimmer and nail polishes of pinks, purples, and neutrals make up her collection. All of the bottles, pots, or palates have her signature Fafinette scrawled across. In addition, M.A.C. is selling scarves, makeup brushes and bags, larger handbags, and even plastic toys (Kid Robot, anyone?) that all showcase the Fafinettes. Even the shopping bags they give you when you purchase something are covered in drawings of the Fafinettes.
This collaboration combines two favorite things- art and beauty in a collision of color and street art style. Check the pictures of the girls, the makeup, and the colors then run to the M.A.C. website because I’m sure Fafi won’t be around for too long. (PS- for the M.A.C. fanatic like me, next on their schedule is a collection with Heatherette (Traver Rains and Richie Rich design) but according to the girl at my local store, it’s not set to drop until the end of March. Good thing Fafi rocks!)
